Lew's KVD Casting Rod - The new Lew's KVD Casting Rod features premium IM8 graphite blanks in the GC models and a premium IM8 graphite/glass composite blank in the CC models, split-grip EVA handles, and Lew's® proprietary full contact reel seats with increased blank contact. The KVD series also features stainless steel guides that use aluminum oxide inserts that are strengthened with stainless steel and a zirconia insert tip top for optimal durability for use with braided lines. All Rods include the a patented “No Foul” hook keeper and are constructed on a raw graphite blank with the rich midnight fire red finish through the handle and black guide wraps, matching the famous KVD color scheme.
